What do you think of first when you hear the word “called”? Back when I was in middle school, hardly anyone had a cell phone. To make a call we needed to have access to a land line. So, if you had a crush on a girl back then and you wanted to continue the conversation after school, your girl friend or boy friend would tell you something like, “I’m going to call you tonight”. If it was a pretty girl, you would make sure to remember that you were there to receive the call. However, for some reason they wouldn’t tell you the exact time they were calling. That was also the day that all the telemarketers decided to call your house. So, you would stay hovered over the phone all day long to not miss that call.

Have you ever eagerly waited for an important phone call like that? So here’s my question… What kind of call would you consider to be the most important call of your life? Is it a call from the President of the Unites States asking you to head to the White House because he thinks you should be the one running this country? Is it HGTV calling to tell you that you won the dream home along with a huge sum of money?

What call is most important to you? I can tell you that there is a call you don’t want to miss. A call that dwarfs all others in comparison. A call that is the greatest call any human being could ever receive. It is a call from God. He is calling you to live the life you were created for. It’s an extraordinary life that’s eternal and more fulfilling than you could ever imagine. Here’s the good news. God has already called you to receive life to the full.

(2 Timothy 1:9) He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time…

How would your life change if you picked up the call from God and accepted His invitation?
