Look to Me

How important is what you are looking at? In grade school, I often heard the teacher say, ‘please pay attention’. She would say that because while she was teaching us something on the board if we weren’t looking at her, she suspected we were distracted.

Overcoming the Slump

Have you ever felt like you were in a slump? A slump is when the only thing on your mind is a task or an obligation rather than a sense of wonder, enthusiasm or excitement of where you are. It’s when you don’t feel like you’re effective or productive, no matter what you do and you feel like you’re not looking forward to anything in your life. God doesn’t want you to live that way.

Who am I in the story?

One of the reasons why I didn’t think too hard about church was because I saw a lot of bad things in the world.

The Best Call of Your Life

What do you think of first when you hear the word “called”? Back when I was in middle school, hardly anyone had a cell phone. To make a call we needed to have access to a land line. So, if you had a crush on a girl

Wonder in the midst of loss

Have you recently lost a loved one? Isn’t it a terrible experience? It’s a feeling of powerlessness. It’s a feeling of shock and confusion. It’s a feeling of frustration and anger. We feel things that we’ve never felt before.

The Right Direction

During a fierce civil war battle, a young soldier boy came running at top speed. When asked why he was running, he shouted back, “I’m running ‘cause I can’t fly!”
